Happily, Angie is continuing to succeed and enjoy her increasing strength, endurance and energy. As you may remember, she is the mom of four, so I thought it'd be nice to get to know her a little better with this week's questions, since she is a real person with a busy life, just like (or even busier than) the rest of us. And if the answer to the last question doesn't make you melt a bit, then, well, you probably haven't opened a newspaper, magazine or website recently: With all the childhood obesity and body-image issues (girls especially) kids face these days, it is encouraging to know that Angie (and her active husband) are leading by example, and engaging the whole family. Great job, Angie! Read about Angie's journey here (or catch-up on Week 1 / Week 2 / Week 3 / Week 4).
Amy @Feasibly Fit Mom: How are you feeling? Any new fitness or body developments this week? I feel great. I am pushing myself harder with each cardio session. I am also increasing the weight. I just continue to enjoy the workouts! Amy @FFM: Now that you've been "allowed" to step on the scale what's your greatest challenge? Not "rewarding" myself with food. Eating has always been a struggle and I continue to want to eat more than I should (and foods that aren't good for me). Growing up, events were planned around food. I am trying to teach myself that I don't need to eat to have a good time, especially when I am not hungry. Amy @FFM: Have you picked a 5k to run yet? I think that my husband and I have chosen one that is in August. We have looked at quite a few, but I think that August gives me time to train for it. Amy @FFM: What's your favorite blog or website? Oh, that is a tough one.....I love reading blogs and do it daily. Right now, I am addicted to home decorating blogs and have a ton that I visit. But...my favorite website is SparkPeople.com. I love the articles, the message boards are great sources of inspiration. There is soooo much information on this site, I love it! Amy @FFM: What do your kids think of your fitness challenge? They are excited by it. My husband takes the kids to the pool while I do my Saturday workout. Normally, each one comes in at different times to cheer me on. During the week, while I am doing my strength workouts, my littlest one watches. She thinks it's funny when I am doing planks. She will crawl to me and grab on. A little extra push for my workout! Next week we wrap it up with Angie. I'm a little sad, but we're going to work together again soon, so stay tuned... Also coming up:
