I'm a little late posting this check-in on Angie's progress. Several of you asked me "How's Angie?" I'm delighted to report that she's right on track! I even had her step on the scale this week. Having not tested her body composition in person, I didn't want her to get discouraged if she didn't see much net change. Here's why: When working with local clients, we test body composition and look for net changes in body composition (ratio of fat : total body weight). For example, even if someone hasn't lost any weight by the scale, by body composition testing, we can tell that someone has lost 5 pounds of fat and earned 5 pounds of muscle for a net change of 10 pounds.
That said, want to know how Angie did on the scale? Let's ask her: Amy @Feasibly Fit Mom: How's it going? Good. I am getting really used to the routines, but I still love them! I have been changing it up a little and adding in some heavier weights. I am liking the strength that I am getting. Amy @FFM: So you weighed yourself this week...and? Are you pleased? Any changes? I am excited to see changes....I have lost 4 lbs!! Woohoo. My clothes are fitting good. I have actually bought myself a couple of new things (in a smaller size). I am trying not to go to crazy with it though because I hope to continue losing!! Amy @FFM: How's running going? I LOVE running. I am only running intervals, but I love how empowered I feel when I am done!! It also really clears my head. With all of the stress in my life right now, I definitely need the relief I get! Amy @FFM: What will keep motivating you as you move forward? Just seeing the changes to my body. I am also thinking of training for a 5k when this program is complete. That is crazy. I never thought that I would want to do that. My husband runs and I am looking forward to joining him! Amy @FFM: Are you ready for some new workouts? If so, what would you like to change? I really like the workouts! There isn't anything I would change. Like I said, I am varying it with different weights. Also, I have been alternating between the elliptical and the treadmill. That definitely keeps it fun and interesting. I do know that I will need to change it up a little more soon though. Read about Angie's journey here (or catch-up on Week 1 / Week 2 / Week 3). I'm so proud of Angie. She's integrating everything into her lifestyle and making it her own. That's the best way to ensure continued success. A 5k sounds like the perfect fitness-related goal to me. And I love that it's something she and her husband have in common now. What do you think? Should she train for the 5k? Go Angie!
