You read last week about awesome mom-of-four, Angie (photo at right), going public with her 6-weeks of workouts I designed for her. (If not, read-up here.) She is doing great -- consistent and diligent -- and has such a good attitude. We're one week into it and we're checking in to see how it's going.
Amy @Feasibly Fit Mom: How's it going ~ how do you feel so far?
Angie: I feel good. I am feeling more energetic which is great!
Amy @FFM: Has anything been easier than you thought it'd be?
Angie: Ummmmmm, well, not really. The workouts are tough but not too crazy hard. I like that it is constantly changing. It doesn't seem to last too long which is great.
Amy @FFM: What do you need the most encouragement with?
Angie: Sticking with the routine even though I haven't "seen" results. My husband is noticing some changes and I do feel better; but it still is difficult to want to workout.
Amy @FFM: What's been your favorite workout so far?
Angie: I am loving both cardio workouts. I love that they move quickly. In the past, I have felt the need to workout for an hour doing cardio (however, not pushing myself too hard) and I would be miserable the whole time. This would burn me out quickly. With these workouts, I work up quite a sweat in a short time.
Amy @FFM: Any words of encouragement for other women working on improving their fitness levels?
Angie: I highly recommend having some kind of support system. Amy has been so sweet in emailing me every couple of days to "check-in". I feel as though we are becoming friends and that is nice to have the accountability. My husband has tried to be that support in the past, but it is not the same (for me anyways) as having an outside person holding me to my word! Thank you again, Amy, for all of your help (and hopefully a new found friendship).

Amy here again...
For those of you who are enthusiastic every day exercisers (at least for the first week of a new program then you taper off -- or stop completely), Angie has some words of wisdom. (I promise I didn't ask her to say this; in fact, she didn't want to take two days off at first.)
Angie: I am SOOOOO glad to have the scheduled days off. In the past I would workout 7 days and burn out in the first 2 weeks. Plus, I am exhausted and sore (in good ways) today and it is nice to not have to workout!
Way to go, Angie! Please continue to encourage her or ask any questions you have for her in comments.
