I'm super-excited about this series...I'm naming it "Shift." Shift your attitude, habits, lifestyle, body composition -- if it's not working for you -- change it! Calling all negative self talk, body image issues, sabotage, excuses, sheer laziness and lack of motivation -- it's time to move on out! It's time for a better life full of positive reinforcement, body confidence and appreciation, self-starting, health, strength and happiness.

How to start? Here's how Angie's doing it:
Reader, Angie, from Southern CA contacted me to take advantage of the custom fitness plan I was offering for *free* to the first five people to respond. She's super-mom (she's too modest) of 4 kids, the youngest of which is 8 months.
Yep, 4 kids (that is why I look the way I do now!! [Editors note: You mean fabulous?]). Well, to be honest, 3 of my kids are in school all day. That helps some. So I plan to work out for about an hour each day. My intention is to workout for a half hour in the a.m. and a half hour in the evening with my husband (cardio portion). On Saturdays I will do the circuit training routine while my husband watches the kids. We all need a little me time, right?!
Right now, we live in an apartment with access to a community gym. I will use their gym for my cardio sessions. The strength sessions will be done in my living room while my little one takes a nap.
I am looking forward to challenging myself. I am also hoping to see some weight loss and toning.
The biggest challenge will be to stick with the program. I am hoping that encouragement from Amy and her readers will help me to continue.
I would love to hear how others are staying committed to their weight loss and health goals.
